Key Challenges
1. Keeping it Simple: The LMS needed to provide essential functionality without unnecessary complexity.
2. Maximizing Webflow’s Capabilities: Ensuring that Webflow’s CMS and backend tools were used effectively to handle course content and user interactions.
3. User-Friendly Experience: Creating a clear, structured system for learners to navigate lessons without confusion.
4. Lead Capture & Engagement: Implementing a content gateway to collect user information and build engagement through email follow-ups.

Process and Approach
1. Planning & Structure: The first step was to define the essential features needed for course content delivery while ensuring a smooth user experience. I mapped out how Webflow’s CMS could be leveraged for lesson management, structuring the content in a way that made updates easy for administrators. Additionally, I designed a simple user flow to ensure learners could navigate the courses intuitively and access materials without friction.
2. Design & Development in Webflow: With a clear plan in place, I focused on designing a clean and professional layout that aligned with MCEP’s branding and content needs. The entire site, including the LMS components, was built within Webflow, taking full advantage of its CMS for structured content organization and backend tools for managing user interactions. I also implemented a basic content gateway system to collect user information and automate email follow-ups, helping MCEP engage with learners effectively.
3. Testing & Launch: Before deployment, I conducted usability testing to ensure the platform was easy to navigate for both learners and administrators. Based on feedback, I made refinements to improve clarity and functionality. Once finalized, the site was launched with supporting documentation, ensuring MCEP’s team could easily manage and update content moving forward.

Outcome
The MacArthur Masterclass LMS is now a simple yet effective learning platform that enhances MCEP’s online presence. Built on Webflow, it provides an easy-to-manage system for lesson videos, course materials, and user engagement while ensuring a smooth experience for both administrators and learners.
By leveraging Webflow’s CMS and backend tools, the system remains lightweight, efficient, and easy to update, allowing MCEP to manage content with minimal effort while benefiting from an improved website experience.
