I designed the packaging for the Ila lantern—a product that reimagines the traditional camping lantern as a beautiful object worthy of home display. Crafted to foster moments of connection, the design needed to evoke warmth, elegance, and a sense of timelessness, while resonating with Ila’s thoughtful, design-conscious audience. Inspired by the lantern’s moonlike silhouette and soft ambient glow, the packaging reflects the brand’s reverence for nature and intentional living. The color palette draws from both the warm, inviting light of the lantern and the deep, calming hues of the night sky—creating a visual language that feels grounded, serene, and quietly luminous. Materials and layout were kept minimal yet tactile, designed to feel equally fitting whether displayed on a boutique shelf or unboxed fireside in the woods. The result is packaging that doesn't just protect the product—it becomes part of the experience, supporting Ila’s mission to design objects that bring people together through everyday ritual.
